? Celebrating our 5th year in business was a perfect time to reflect on the last 5 years and how much we have grown as a business, learned as a team and expanded with our clientele.
It is crazy looking back on how far we have come, from starting in the garage (yes, the inspiration for the name), to now a thriving design boutique in the heart of the city with the most incredible clients and team!
We want to thank all our amazing clients, friends and family for their support over the last 5 years and are looking forward to what the next 5 years bring!
5 years in business and 5 lessons learned:
1️⃣ Just jump! The hardest part of starting a new business is deciding when the right time is, there is no perfect time, you just need to go for it.
2️⃣ Life is always busy and it never stops. There is no “after this week things will slow down” just get out there and do it now!
3️⃣ But don’t burn yourself out! No one is impressed if you work yourself to death, just because you are working for yourself doesn’t mean you have to work all day every day to prove you are giving it your all. Time management and the value of your hours are skills you need to master for success.
4️⃣ Surround yourself with an epic team. We all need family, friends or staff who care about us and our business as much as we do. Find the epic ones you can trust to just get shit done!
5️⃣ Remember to have fun! How you feel reflects in your work and shows in your business. Have fun and stay positive – you got this!
